First visit of REM employees to the Turkish regulator

Under the signed Protocol of Cooperation and Protocol on Expert Personnel Exchange with the Turkish regulator, the Serbian delegation, led by the President of the Council, Ms Olivera Zekić, paid a three-day visit to the Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK).

During a meeting with the President of the RTÜK Council Mr Ebubekir ŞAHİN The President of the REM Council, Ms Olivera Zekić, highlighted the great importance of the signed protocols of cooperation and further improvement of the work of regulators through expert personnel exchange.

In addition to getting acquainted with the manner of operation of the Turkish regulator, as part of which special attention was devoted to the system for monitoring the work of media service providers, the Serbian delegation had an opportunity to meet with and get to know the representatives of the media industry in Turkey by visiting Turkish Radio and Television, and Türksat, the largest satellite operator.

In July of last year, the two regulators signed the Protocol of Cooperation and the Protocol on Expert Personnel Exchange, which aim to improve communication, exchange of experience and joint support in regulating the media sector and the sector monitoring the work of media service providers.
