The Regulator held a media literacy training in Novi Sad
The Regulatory Authority for Electronic Media held a media literacy training for teachers and expert associates at the Preschool Institution Joyful Childhood in Novi Sad.
The training for teachers and expert associates was attended by 30 representatives, who were presented with the findings of the survey on media literacy among preschool age children in Serbia, familiarised with the Regulator’s activities in the field of media literacy, with special attention paid to programming content rating and useful tools for educating preschoolers about media literacy, which were developed with the support of the Council of Europe, within the project Protecting Freedom of Expression and of the Media in Serbia (PROFREX), which is part of the Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Türkiye 2023-2026, a joint European Union and Council of Europe programme.
After last year’s trainings that were held, also within the Council of Europe’s project Protecting Freedom of Expression and of the Media in Serbia (PROFREX), for representatives of teachers and expert associates in Belgrade, the Regulator will continue organising trainings in other major cities in Serbia this year as well.
