New rules on commercial communications discussed at workshop for REM employees
Employees of the Regulatory Authority for Electronic Media participated in a workshop on regulation and co-regulation of commercial communications with colleagues from line ministries, organised by the Council of Europe Office in Belgrade.
The workshop, which was held on 5 September 2024, aimed to improve the Regulator’s knowledge of commercial communications within the framework of European standards and understanding and fostering of self-regulatory and co-regulatory principles in this field.
The workshop was conducted by Council of Europe consultant Tanja Kerševan, and the workshop was also attended by representatives of the Ministry of Information and Telecommunications and the Ministry of Domestic and Foreign Trade in addition to the employees of the Regulator.
This workshop is organised within the project Protecting Freedom of Expression and of the Media in Serbia (PROFREX), which is part of the Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Türkiye 2023-2026, a joint European Union and Council of Europe programme.
